JOB PURPOSE:

The AGM/DGM Finance & Costing will be responsible for leading the costing, financial planning, and commercial functions of the organisation (Corporate office and Plants). The incumbent will drive accurate product costing, solid internal controls, and effective financial oversight across plant and corporate operations, while ensuring full compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements applicable to a pharmaceutical manufacturing business.

1. Costing & Product Profitability

- Finalise product costing, process costing, and standard vs. actual cost variance analysis
- Prepare cost sheets, indicative costing, and quotation/RFQ costing
- Analyse production yield, wastage, and conversion cost impact
- Evaluate product-wise profitability and margin analysis based on MRP

2. Plant Finance & Commercial

- Manage commercial negotiations and cost finalisation for raw materials, packing materials, plant machinery/spares, and consumables
- Oversee working capital, RM/PM monthly requirement planning, and inventory management aligned with production and sales forecasts
- Drive vendor development for packing materials and raw materials for new and existing products




- Manage cash flow, fund planning, and monthly budgeting in line with production requirements

3. Financial Planning & Control

- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and MIS reporting for management review
- Strengthen internal controls, SOPs, and ERP/SAP-based financial processes
- Support finalisation of Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account, and statutory/tax audit requirements
- Prepare cash flow statements and support fund management planning

4. Compliance & Audit

- Ensure compliance with Direct and Indirect Tax regulations (TDS, Advance Tax, Income Tax, GST)
- Coordinate internal and statutory audits, and manage tax assessment/regulatory queries
- Ensure timely and accurate tax return filings, audit reports, and tax audit reports

5. MIS & Reporting

- Prepare and publish regular finance dashboards cost variance, budget vs. actual, working capital position
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date ERP/SAP records; generate reports for management review
- Analyse financial metrics and present actionable insights to business and leadership.
