Job Title: Aerostructures – Lead Design Engineer

Experience: 10+Years

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform aerostructure design for components such as fuselage, primary & Secondary support structures, brackets, sheet metal parts, and assemblies
- Perform 3D modeling, assembly design, and drafting using CATIA V5
- Create and modify engineering drawings / MBD
- Work with PLM tools like Enovia/Team Center for data management and release process
- Drive design reviews, interface control, tolerance stack-up, and manufacturing feasibility.
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements and aerospace standards (GD&T;, tolerances)
- Support design changes (ECR/ECO/ERD processes)
- Collaborate with stress, manufacturing, and MRB/liaison teams for design validation and issue resolution
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers; ensure quality (FTR) and on-time delivery (OTD).




- Participate in design reviews and technical discussions
- Strong knowledge of aerostructure design
- Proficiency in GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Hands-on experience with CATIA V5
- Experience with PLM tools such as Enovia / Teamcenter
- Good understanding of sheet metal, machining, and assembly process
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience in aircraft development programs (Airbus/Boeing etc.)
- Basic knowledge of stress analysis and manufacturing processes
- Valuable communication and teamwork skills
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering
- 10+ years of relevant experience in airframe design
