Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an Acquisition Relationship Manager based in the Greater Chennai Area. The role involves sourcing and acquiring new customers for the bank’s products and services, with a focus on building and maintaining strong, trust-based relationships.

The Acquisition Relationship

Manager will identify prospects, conduct needs-based discussions, explain product features and benefits, and complete onboarding and documentation processes in line with internal policies and regulatory guidelines. The role also includes coordinating with internal teams for smooth account opening, resolving customer queries, tracking sales targets, and maintaining accurate records in banking systems.



The individual will be expected to stay updated on market trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences to support effective acquisition strategies.

Qualifications

- Robust relationship management and customer service skills, with the ability to build trust and maintain long-term client connections.
- Sales and business development abilities, including lead generation, negotiation, and closing deals in a target-driven environment.
- Solid understanding of banking products and basic financial concepts, with the capacity to explain features and benefits clearly to customers.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including clear verbal and written communication and active listening.
- Organizational and documentation skills, with attention to detail in handling forms, KYC requirements, and compliance-related processes.
- Comfort with using banking systems, CRM tools, and basic office software for data entry, reporting, and follow-up management.
- Ability to work on-site in the Greater Chennai Area and collaborate with branch staff and cross-functional teams.
- Prior experience in retail banking, financial services, or customer-facing sales roles is preferred.
- Post graduate degree in business, finance, commerce, or a related field is beneficial.
- 3 years minimum experience
