Tejjy Inc. is a GSA-certified MBE/DBE/WBE/SBE 8(a) Architectural & Engineering firm based in Rockville, MD, specializing in BIM modeling, 3D laser scanning, MEP engineering, and permit expediting services across the USA. Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations, ensure accurate bookkeeping, and support compliance with U.S. accounting standards. This role requires working during US business hours (IST night shift) to coordinate directly with the US-based finance/management team. Key Responsibilities

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, accounts payable/receivable, and bank statements

Process invoices, vendor payments, and client billing in a timely manner

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L;, balance sheet, cash flow)

Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with federal/state tax regulations

Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for management

Ensure compliance with GSA contract accounting requirements, indirect rate calculations, and DCAA standards (where applicable)

Manage QuickBooks/ERP entries and maintain accurate financial records





Coordinate with US-based external auditors, CPAs, and tax consultants during audits and tax filing season

Track project-based costing for AEC projects (BIM, MEP, permit expediting services)

Prepare and file sales tax, payroll tax, and other statutory filings

Assist in accounts reconciliation and month-end/year-end closing processes

Available for real-time coordination with US team during shift hours Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

2–5 years of accounting experience (U.S. GAAP knowledge required)

Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software/ERP systems

Familiarity with government contract accounting (GSA, DCAA) is a strong plus

Solid understanding of U.S. tax compliance (federal, state, payroll taxes)

Willingness to work night shift (6:00 PM – 2:30 AM IST), Monday to Friday

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Solid communication skills, both written and verbal Preferred Qualifications

CPA or working toward CPA certification

Prior experience working night shift for US-based clients/companies

Experience in AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) industry accounting

Experience with government/federal contract billing (T&M;, cost-plus, fixed-price)
