Job Summary We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our growing eCommerce business. The ideal candidate will manage daily accounting operations, reconcile sales from multiple online marketplaces, oversee inventory-related financial records, and ensure accurate financial reporting and tax compliance.
Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping. Record and reconcile daily sales from eCommerce platforms (Amazon, Flipkart, etc.). Reconcile payment gateways (Razor pay, etc.) and bank accounts.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable. Monitor inventory valuation, cost of goods sold (COGS), and stock adjustments. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Process GST/VAT/sales tax filings and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
Handle payroll and employee expense reimbursements. Assist with budgeting, cash flow management, and financial forecasting. Support internal and external audits.
Collaborate with operations and fulfillment teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in an eCommerce or retail business. Solid knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Experience with accounting software such as Tally, etc. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Experience reconciling marketplace settlements and payment gateways is preferred.
Preferred Skills Experience with Amazon Seller Central, Shopify, or other eCommerce platforms. Knowledge of inventory accounting and COGS. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
