Key duties involve preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, tracking expenses, and generating reports on production costs, sales, and profitability, while also collaborating with operations and other departments. Core responsibilities

- Financial reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journals for monthly closing, and generate daily/weekly/monthly reports on plant performance.
- Cost accounting: Manage inventory valuation, perform cost variance analysis, track capital expenditures, and recommend cost-optimization measures.
- Budgeting and forecasting: Assist in developing and monitoring the annual budget and financial forecasts.
- Compliance and taxation: Ensure timely filing of all statutory returns like GST, TDS, and excise duty, and assist with environmental and other compliance reporting.
- Auditing: Support both internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
- Payroll and accounts payable/receivable:



Oversee or assist with the functions of payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Data analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement, and provide financial insights to plant management.

Required skills and qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in a similar accounting role, with manufacturing or ethanol industry experience being a solid advantage.
- Technical skills: Proficiency in accounting software like Tally/ERP, strong skills in MS Excel, and a solid understanding of cost accounting principles.
- Analytical skills: A strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
- Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Soft skills: Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively with other teams.
- Certifications: A CPA or other skilled certification can be a plus.
