About the Role

We're looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to manage the financial operations of a fast-growing, multi-channel spiritual wellness brand. This role will handle day-to-day bookkeeping, reconciliation across our e-commerce and service platforms, GST compliance, and financial reporting helping us stay organized and compliant as we scale across products, consultations, and events.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain accurate books of accounts across all business verticals (e-commerce, consultations, courses, events)
- Reconcile daily/weekly sales from Shopify (shop.sheelaa.com) and payment gateways against bank statements
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including vendor and practitioner payments
- Handle GST filing, TDS deductions, and other statutory compliance requirements
- Prepare monthly P&L;, cash flow, and balance sheet reports for leadership review
- Track inventory-related costs and coordinate with the e-commerce team on stock valuation




- Process payroll and manage employee reimbursements
- Support budgeting and financial planning for marketing campaigns, events, and new product launches
- Coordinate with external CA/auditors for annual audits and tax filings
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation for internal and statutory purposes
- Flag discrepancies, cash flow risks, or process inefficiencies proactively

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com/M.Com); CA-Inter or equivalent is a plus
- 2–5 years of experience in accounting, preferably with e-commerce or D2C brand exposure
- Working knowledge of GST, TDS, and Indian statutory compliance
- Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, Zoho Books, or QuickBooks) and MS Excel/Google Sheets
- Familiarity with Shopify or other e-commerce platforms is a solid plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple revenue streams
- Good communication skills to coordinate with vendors, auditors, and internal teams
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, small-team environment

Nice to Have
- Experience with payment gateway reconciliation (Razorpay, PayU, etc.)
- Prior experience in a wellness, D2C, or service-based startup
- Exposure to multi-entity or multi-brand bookkeeping
