Role Description The Academic Counsellor / Study Abroad Advisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurugram. In this position, the advisor meets with students and families to understand academic goals, assess strengths and areas for development, and recommend suitable courses, tutoring plans, and study abroad options. The role involves guiding students through school and university selection, application timelines, standardized test planning, and documentation requirements for international programs.

The advisor coordinates closely with tutors to align academic counselling with instructional plans, provides ongoing progress updates, and conducts information sessions or workshops on study abroad opportunities.



Daily tasks include maintaining accurate student records, responding to inquiries, collaborating with internal teams, and ensuring a high standard of learner support and customer service.

Qualifications

Robust student advising and counselling skills, with the ability to assess academic needs and provide clear, personalized guidance.

Knowledge of study abroad processes, including university selection, application procedures, scholarships, and visa-related considerations.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, families, and internal teams in a professional and inclusive manner.

Organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple student cases, deadlines, and administrative tasks efficiently.

Comfort with digital tools and online platforms used for student management, documentation, and communication.

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, International Relations, or a related field; advanced qualifications are an advantage.

Prior experience in academic counselling, admissions, or study abroad advisory services is highly beneficial.

Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and a commitment to equitable, non-discriminatory academic guidance for diverse student populations.
