Role Description This is a full-time remote role for an Academic Counselor at Specular Business Services.

The Academic

Counselor will provide guidance to students on academic pathways, program selection, and course planning aligned with individual interests and career goals.

Responsibilities include conducting one-on-one counseling sessions, supporting career exploration, and offering information on educational opportunities,



training programs, and skill development options. The role involves maintaining accurate student records, preparing counseling reports, and collaborating with internal teams to design and improve student support initiatives.

The Academic

Counselor will also communicate regularly with students and guardians, address queries, and ensure a positive, supportive advising experience.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong Student Counseling and Academic Advising skills.

Candidates should possess effective Communication skills across diverse student and guardian groups.

Candidates should possess Career Counseling skills and an understanding of Education pathways.

Relevant experience in academic counseling, student services, or education advisory roles.

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field; advanced qualifications are an advantage.

Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple cases, and maintain confidentiality.

Comfort with digital tools, online communication platforms, and basic data/document management.
