Job Description – Purchase Executive (Mechanical)

Position Title: Purchase Executive

Department: Procurement / Supply Chain

Reporting To: Purchase Manager / Procurement Head

Qualification

- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Additional certification in Supply Chain/Procurement will be an added advantage

Experience

- 2–3 years of relevant experience in purchase/procurement, preferably in engineering, manufacturing, or industrial projects

Key Responsibilities

· Handle end-to-end procurement of mechanical items, spares, consumables, and equipment

· Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors and suppliers

· Float RFQs, compare quotations, and negotiate price, delivery, and payment terms

· Prepare and issue Purchase Orders as per company policy

· Ensure timely delivery of materials to meet project/production schedules

· Coordinate with engineering, stores, and production teams for material planning

· Maintain purchase records, documentation, and MIS reports





· Monitor inventory levels and avoid shortages or excess stock

· Ensure quality compliance and follow up on rejected or defective materials

· Develop cost-saving initiatives and alternate sourcing strategies

· Maintain strong vendor relationships and conduct performance evaluations

Skills Required

· Good technical knowledge of mechanical components and engineering materials

· Strong negotiation and vendor management skills

· Knowledge of ERP/Procurement systems

· Positive communication and coordination abilities

· Proficiency in MS Excel and documentation

· Analytical and problem-solving skills

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
