AXIS Forming Technology is engaged in manufacturing high-precision cold forming tooling for the metal forming industry. The company serves customers in special fasteners, sheet metal deep drawn components, and powder compacted component industries.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Mechanical Draftsman with knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD to prepare manufacturing drawings, process drawings, CNC coordinates, and inspection support documents for precision cold forming tooling.

The candidate will work closely with experienced tooling designers and convert tooling assembly drawings into detailed component drawings suitable for manufacturing and inspection.

Freshers with good drafting skills and strong learning attitude are welcome.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed 2D and 3D mechanical drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

Create component drawings from tooling assembly drawings received from senior designers and customers.

Prepare process drawings for cold forming tooling.

Generate CNC coordinates and machining reference details for shop floor manufacturing.

Support manufacturing team with drawing clarifications.

Assist in preparing inspection drawings and dimensional reports.





Guide and support inspection activities for precision tooling.

Maintain drawing revisions and documentation systematically.

Coordinate with design, production, and quality departments.

Ensure drawings meet micron-level accuracy and manufacturing requirements.

Required Skills

Knowledge of:

SolidWorks

AutoCAD

Mechanical drafting standards

Engineering drawing reading

GD&T; basics (preferred)

Understanding of machining processes and tooling drawings.

Basic knowledge of CNC machining coordinates preferred.

Valuable analytical and problem-solving skills.

Attention to detail and accuracy.

Qualification

ITI Draftsman Mechanical

OR

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Freshers can apply.

Experience

Fresher or 1–3 years experience in mechanical drafting/design.

Experience in tooling, dies, punches, cold forging, or precision engineering industries will be preferred.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Willingness to learn precision tooling design.

Ability to work closely with shop floor and inspection teams.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Positive attitude and disciplined working approach.
