Civil Engineer – Site Responsibilities

1. Site Execution & Supervision

Oversee daily construction activities to ensure work is executed as per approved drawings and specifications

Monitor quality, safety, and progress of in office work

Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and site workers

2. Drawing Management

Interpret and execute structural and architectural drawings

Ensure latest revisions of drawings are available and implemented on-site

Identify discrepancies in drawings and escalate for clarification

3. Client Coordination & Scope Management

Understand project scope and client requirements clearly

Coordinate with clients/consultants for approvals, changes, and clarifications

Track scope changes and ensure proper documentation and execution

4. Planning & Daily Reporting

Plan daily and weekly work schedules based on project timelines

Maintain daily progress reports (DPR)



and site records

Track material usage, manpower deployment, and productivity

5. Quality & Compliance

Ensure work complies with project specifications, standards, and safety norms

Conduct regular inspections and quality checks

Maintain checklists and documentation for audits

6. Material & Resource Management

Coordinate procurement and ensure timely availability of materials

Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage

Verify bills and quantities (BOQ tracking)

7. Issue Resolution

Identify site challenges and provide practical solutions

Coordinate with design and project teams to resolve technical issues

Ensure minimal delays due to site constraints
