We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our growing eCommerce business. The ideal candidate will manage daily accounting operations, reconcile sales from multiple online marketplaces, oversee inventory-related financial records, and ensure accurate financial reporting and tax compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping.
- Record and reconcile daily sales from eCommerce platforms (Amazon, Flipkart, etc.).
- Reconcile payment gateways (Razor pay, etc.) and bank accounts.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Monitor inventory valuation, cost of goods sold (COGS), and stock adjustments.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Process GST/VAT/sales tax filings and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Handle payroll and employee expense reimbursements.
- Assist with budgeting, cash flow management, and financial forecasting.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Collaborate with operations and fulfillment teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in an eCommerce or retail business.
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience with accounting software such as Tally, etc.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience reconciling marketplace settlements and payment gateways is preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Amazon Seller Central, Shopify, or other eCommerce platforms.
- Knowledge of inventory accounting and COGS.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
