We are looking for an Associate MEP manager who will ensure smooth operations and maintenance across all our gym locations by managing MEP systems, vendors, preventive maintenance, statutory compliance, housekeeping standards, and overall facility readiness.
Role Overview
The associate MEP manager will be responsible for ensuring that all TeamFit centres operate efficiently through effective maintenance planning, vendor coordination, compliance management, and operational audits. The role requires hands-on involvement across multiple sites and strong coordination with internal teams and external service providers.
The ideal candidate should possess solid technical knowledge of building maintenance systems along with excellent organisational and vendor management skills.
- Key Responsibilities
1. Facility Maintenance
Conduct routine inspections across assigned gym locations.
- Monitor the condition of:
- Electrical systems
- Plumbing systems
- Civil works
- HVAC systems
- Interiors and infrastructure
- Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are executed on time.
- Coordinate corrective maintenance with vendors.
- Verify work quality before closure.
- Follow up on open maintenance issues until resolution.
- Minimise equipment and facility downtime.
2. MEP & Gym Equipment Coordination
- Coordinate preventive maintenance of gym equipment.
- Manage equipment breakdowns with OEM/service vendors.
- Monitor equipment uptime and service quality.
- Escalate critical equipment failures immediately.
- Verify completion of repair work before sign-off.
3. Housekeeping & Hygiene
- Conduct housekeeping and hygiene audits.
- Ensure adherence to cleaning schedules.
- Inspect:
- Workout areas
- Reception
- Washrooms
- Locker rooms
- Common areas
- Monitor housekeeping consumables.
- Ensure corrective actions are completed promptly.
4. Operations Support
- Ensure opening and closing checklists are completed.
- Monitor operational compliance across all centres.
- Verify implementation of company SOPs.
- Support centre managers with operational requirements.
- Conduct surprise operational audits.
5. Vendor Management
- Manage and coordinate vendors for:
- Electrical
- Plumbing
- Civil Maintenance
- HVAC
- DG Sets
- UPS Systems
- Firefighting Systems
- CCTV
- Access Control
- Pest Control
- Housekeeping
- Painting
- Flooring
- Signage
Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring vendor performance
- Ensuring SLA compliance
- Obtaining quotations
- Tracking work completion
- Verifying invoices before submission
6. Compliance & Safety
- Conduct routine fire and safety inspections.
- Ensure serviceability of fire extinguishers.
- Monitor statutory compliance records.
- Maintain first aid kits.
- Identify and report safety hazards.
- Support internal and external compliance audits.
7. Asset Management
- Maintain facility asset records.
- Conduct periodic asset verification.
- Monitor asset condition.
- Report damaged or missing assets.
- Coordinate asset replacement when required.

Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in facilities management or operations.
- Experience handling multiple locations is preferred.
- Experience in gyms, retail, hospitality, healthcare, commercial buildings, malls, or co-working spaces will be an added advantage.
