About the Role

KrishiGK is looking for an experienced Senior Entomologist to lead pest surveillance, scientific advisory, and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) initiatives. The selected candidate will work with satellite data, weather analytics, GIS, and field intelligence to develop crop protection advisories and support farmers through digital agriculture solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor and analyse insect pest incidence across multiple crops.
- Develop pest forecasting and early warning systems using satellite, weather, and field data.
- Prepare region-specific, crop-specific, and weather-based pest advisories.
- Design and promote Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategies.
- Analyse pest trends, crop damage, and field reports to generate technical recommendations.
- Collaborate with Agronomists, GIS specialists, Data Analysts, and Field Teams.
- Conduct field visits, demonstrations, validation trials, and farmer training programmes.
- Develop technical content for mobile applications, SMS, WhatsApp, and digital advisory platforms.
- Train advisory teams on pest identification and scientific recommendations.




- Evaluate new pest management technologies and research developments.

Required Qualifications
- M.Sc. Agriculture (Entomology)
- Ph.D. preferred for senior-level candidates.

Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in:
- Agricultural Advisory Services
- Pest Surveillance
- Digital Agriculture
- Farmer Advisory Systems
- Remote Sensing or GIS-based Agriculture Projects

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of insect pests and Integrated Pest Management (IPM)
- Pest surveillance and outbreak forecasting
- Remote Sensing & GIS fundamentals
- Data analysis and technical report writing
- Farmer advisory and communication skills
- Knowledge of crop protection products and protected pesticide practices
- Team leadership and coordination
