Senior safeguard Delta's standards for safety, airworthiness, and fleet reliability through administration of the Reliability Program (D074/TOPP 20-40-05). This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of operational data, supporting compliance with Delta's Continuing Analysis and Surveillance System (CASS) and 14 CFR 121.373 requirements. As a critical link between AI-enabled tools, regulatory obligations, and operational reliability, the Specialist validates data quality, oversees compliance reporting, and supports effective fleet performance monitoring. The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong compliance mindset, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to identify trends, anticipate risks, and develop proactive solutions that enhance safety, reliability, and operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform ATA coding and classification of aircraft maintenance log page data to ensure accurate, standardized information for reliability analysis, regulatory reporting, and operational decision-making.
- Identify, evaluate, and report regulatory events, including SDR, MSI, RVSM, APU, and ETOPS occurrences, ensuring compliance with FAA requirements and company reporting standards.
- Conduct detailed reviews of maintenance and operational records to identify reportable CASS events, including PDAs, expired emergency equipment, defective oxygen masks, and other safety-related findings.
- Review and analyze operational delays and Aircraft Out-of-Service (AOS) events, distinguish technical versus maintenance-related causes, and validate coding accuracy to support data integrity, reliability analytics, and performance reporting.
- Manage the integrity, accuracy, and effectiveness of reliability tools and data systems by validating AI-generated outputs, monitoring functional failure classifications, and addressing tool user feedback to support compliance, trust, and business value.
- Monitor fleet performance and maintenance effectiveness by identifying emerging reliability trends, recurring issues, and ineffective maintenance actions through analysis of Enhanced Mechanical Reliability Index (EMRI) tool, Maintenance Program Optimization (MPO) tool, and other reliability data sources.
- Integrate and analyze operational, maintenance, and reliability data from multiple enterprise sources, including aircraft logs, MCC notifications, ChronicX, and related systems, to provide a comprehensive view of fleet health and support predictive maintenance strategies.
- Support maintenance program optimization by evaluating task effectiveness, conducting escalation reviews, and recommending improvements that enhance maintenance decision-making and fleet reliability outcomes.

What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)





- Must have Aircraft Maintenance Engineering license with 2-3 years aircraft maintenance experience or Engineering experience
- Bachelor of Engineering Degree (aerospace or mechanical preferred) or comparable experience such as Aircraft Maintenance Engineering.
- 8-12 years of experience working for Airlines supporting within the Reliability domain.
- Should have a strong technical knowledge of the aircraft, thorough understanding of aircraft manuals, Technical Operations Policies and Procedures, production processes and regulatory maintenance program requirements.
- Must be able to coordinate workflow to multiple disciplines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills --must be able to work effectively with a variety of people, both internally and externally and function as a part of a team
- Must exhibit proficiency in analyzing and understanding technical manuals and documents, such as FAA regulations, Advisory Circulars, SRM, AMM, and IPC.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office software products.
