Role Description The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Chennai, responsible for overseeing daily operations, execution of projects and driving organizational performance across all business units. The COO will manage end-to-end operational processes, ensure efficient project execution for solar power and solar water heating solutions, and implement best practices to improve productivity and service quality. This role will collaborate closely with the executive team to define and execute business strategies, align operations with financial goals, and support long-term growth. The COO will lead and mentor cross-functional teams, monitor key performance indicators, manage budgets and resource allocation,



and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards. The position also involves identifying operational risks and opportunities, optimizing internal workflows, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and customer focus.

Qualifications

- Robust Business Planning skills, including strategic planning, goal setting, and execution of growth initiatives.
- Proven experience in Operations Management, with the ability to streamline processes, manage projects, and oversee cross-functional teams.
- Excellent Analytical Skills, Artificial Intelligence usage for evaluating performance metrics, operational data, and market trends to support decision-making.
- Solid understanding of Finance and Budgeting to manage P&L;, allocate resources effectively, and support long-term financial health.
- Background in the renewable energy or solar sector is highly beneficial.
- Demonstrated leadership and people management capabilities, including coaching, performance management, and stakeholder communication.
- Ability to operate on-site in Chennai and work collaboratively with technical, commercial, and executive teams.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
