Job Description KPMG is currently seeking an Associate Director / Senior Manager to join our Business License practice.

n Roles & Responsibilities:
n •Portfolio Ownership & Strategy
n o Own the Business License portfolio—set goals, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and governance; ensure client satisfaction across engagements.
n o Conduct final/Client-level reviews of complex engagements, guide issue resolution and risk posture.
n o Assist the go-to-market, M&A;, and local office teams to identify targets and scope for business license and registration services
n •Financial & Resource Management
n o Prepare annual client budgets and staff budgets; manage utilization, productivity, and cost optimization.
n o Oversee Budget vs Actuals; drive corrective actions and ROI on improvements.
n o Analyze and manage the engagement financial data, including client billing
n •Stakeholder & Relationship Management
n o Build and maintain US stakeholder relationships; lead cadences and escalations; negotiate delivery improvements.
n o Monitor transitions of current clients; define work plans and success criteria.
n •People Leadership
n o Lead performance management, succession planning, hiring/onboarding,
n and building capability.
n o Create an environment of open feedback and coaching, support career
n progressions.
n •Risk, Compliance & Audits
n o Ensure firm-wide compliance standards; lead audits and remediate systemic
n issues; uphold information security.

n o Sponsor automation/analytics initiatives (Alteryx, Macros, AI); deliver measurable productivity and quality gains.
n o Expand BL services - pull more work to KGS by building Stakeholder / client trust.
n Mandatory technical & functional skills
n oHighly proficient in MS Office; strong analytical and advisory skills.
n oDeep technical proficiency in US Direct/Indirect Tax compliance; multi-jurisdiction rule expertise.
n oExpertise in Indirect Tax applications and Alteryx to manage complex engagements.
n oFinancial planning, budgeting, and portfolio management skills.
n oStrong analytical and advisory skills.
n oSecond level / Final review of most complex engagement tasks related to US business license and tax registration
n oOversee the preparation and delivery of business license and tax registration services

n Educational qualifications
n o Master's degree in Accounts/Finance preferred
n o Good to have professional certification eg. CPA, CA, CMA
n Must Have
n o Exceptional written and oral communication skills
n o Strong skills in indirect tax information systems, including strong project management skills, go to market and the ability to analyze client business needs
n o Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio or process mapping software and strong technical awareness and basic knowledge of global indirect tax issues
n Work experience
n o Total: 10–12 years
n o Relevant: 8-10 years in Business Licensing (multi-team/process portfolio
n leadership).
