Atomionics is working on quantum sensors based on atom-interferometry where atoms are cooled down to almost absolute zero using lasers. At such cold temperatures, the wave nature of atoms becomes prominent, which allows us to precisely measure the forces acting on them. This opens up a wide range of applications, including paving a path in the energy transition to zero-carbon and transforming resource exploration and geophysical surveying.
Headquartered in Singapore, Atomionics is now expanding its footprint to India, with our India operations anchored in the Amaravati Quantum Valley. As part of our India team, you will work closely with our Singapore headquarters, collaborating across borders while building deep tech capabilities locally, with our India team playing a critical role in field deployment of our Quantum Gravimeters.
At Atomionics, you will have the prospect to assist in the design, prototyping, testing, and refinement of Quantum Gravity Sensors. You will support efforts to improve the performance of our sensor while helping make it compact and robust for field deployment on projects around the world. You will also play a supporting role in field trials and deployment of our Quantum Gravimeters.
Responsibilities
- Support field trials of atom-interferometry based Quantum Gravimeters, supporting on-site setup and troubleshooting
- Work in collaboration with electronics, mechanical, and atomic physicists in developing and refining system architecture, contributing to the robustness and reliability of atom interferometry sensing systems in a dynamic environment
- Support the design of housing and packaging for miniaturized atom interferometry setups
- Develop CAD models for precision manufacturing and fabrication of optomechanical benches
- Assist with structural analysis and characterization to ensure robustness in harsh environments
About you
- An absolutely driven individual with creative problem solving skills, analytical mind, and persistence, ideally, demonstrated
- Experience using Solidworks/Autodesk/other CAD software
- Experience in different manufacturing techniques
- Willing to travel and support field deployment activities, including work in on-site or remote conditions
