Role Overview:

Hands-on Cloud/DevOps & Security Remediation Engineer to join the SALT engineering team. This role will focus on accelerating our Azure cloud migration, establishing standardized CI/CD pipelines, and systematically remediating CNAPP/Wiz container and infrastructure security findings.

Key Responsibilities:

- Cloud & Migration: Support Azure subscription-to-subscription migration.
- Security Remediation: Triage and remediate container, image layer, and infrastructure vulnerabilities identified via CNAPP (Wiz). Update base images and patch software dependencies across microservices.
- CI/CD & Automation: Standardize GitLab CI pipelines (build, test, security gates) and improve container build workflows (Kaniko/Crane).
- Observability: Assist in establishing observability and logging baselines across cloud microservices.

Technical Requirements:

- Containerization & Orchestration: Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes (AKS), Helm charts.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Solid hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (ACR, Key Vault, Virtual Networks, Managed Identities) and Infrastructure as Code (Pulumi).
- CI/CD Platforms: Expertise in GitLab CI, including containerized build pipelines.
- Security & Compliance: Experience with CNAPP security tooling (Wiz, Defender for Cloud, Trivy, or similar) and CVE vulnerability patching.
- Scripting: Proficiency in Python and Bash for infrastructure automation and utility scripting.
