Petrochemicals: Adani Group is making significant strides in the petrochemical landscape with the establishment of its inaugural petrochemical complex, named Green PVC. This initiative aligns with our broader strategy in the petrochemicals, oil & gas, and downstream sectors.The Petrochemicals Business Unit is spearheading the Green PVC project, which entails a substantial investment of INR 26,000 crore. This investment is focused on integrating the acetylene route to facilitate sustainable polyvinyl chloride (PVC) manufacturing. Currently in the execution phase, the project is on track to deliver its first product by June 2026.

Job Purpose: The Electrical Engineering Lead manages electrical engineering activities to ensure cohesive project execution and alignment with project requirements. They provide progress updates, handle change requests, and conduct risk assessments, ensuring compliance with industry standards. The role involves leading technical meetings, reviewing and updating technical specifications, and overseeing procurement activities. The Electrical Engineering Lead monitors project documentation, budgets, and progress, presenting status reports and identifying cost-saving measures. They provide on-site support during construction, oversee electrical systems' installation and testing, and ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations. The Electrical Engineering Lead facilitates communication among stakeholders and manages the daily performance and development of the electrical team.

Responsibilities

Electrical Engineering Lead-PETCHEM

Project Planning and Coordination:

Ensure alignment with project requirements by assisting in reviewing and recommending site plot plans and tender documents.





Adhere to industry standards by managing electrical engineering activities, providing progress updates, handling project change requests, and conducting technical risk assessments.

Achieve project goals by coordinating and leading technical meetings, addressing contractor and vendor queries.

Develop and implement detailed project schedules in collaboration with the Electrical Senior Lead and other team members.

Technical Specification, Analysis, and Review:

Ensure compliance with project requirements, codes, and statutory norms by developing, reviewing, and updating technical standard specifications.

Ensure accuracy and adherence to project requirements by reviewing electrical engineering documents, including design basis, test criteria, single line diagrams, load lists, BOQs, and schematics.

Ensure consistency and efficiency by standardizing electrical specifications and installation standards through reviewing and approving electrical systems’ drawings, construction, and material specifications.

Confirm specifications for electrical components during procurement activities to align with licensors' and project specifications.

Optimize power system configurations and resolve technical issues by conducting technical audits using advanced tools.

Project Monitoring, Reporting, and Budget Control:

Ensure accurate project tracking by monitoring project documentation and budgets, and providing regular updates to the Electrical Engineering Head.

Highlight project progress, potential issues, and risks by preparing and presenting status reports.

Ensure project financial efficiency by participating in budgeting activities, identifying, and recommending cost-saving measures.

Field Engineering Support:

Ensure adherence to project specifications by providing in office support regarding electrical materials and systems during the construction phase.

Ensure proper specification, installation,



and testing processes by developing Construction Work Packages and overseeing electrical systems.

Compliance, Safety, and Risk Management:

Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations by conducting safety audits using advanced techniques and communicating detailed findings to stakeholders.

Maintain project compliance requirements and quality standards by reviewing material requisitions and vendor submissions for technical accuracy.

Meet project specifications and compliance requirements by supporting procurement and construction teams.

Minimize risks in project design and construction by conducting regular risk assessments and implementing mitigation measures.

Align with environmental goals by incorporating basic sustainability practices into HSE measures and design recommendations, adhering to local and international regulatory standards.

Stakeholder Management:

Ensure adherence to project timelines by evaluating and monitoring vendors for technical capabilities.

Facilitate seamless project execution by coordinating effectively with contractors, vendors, and internal teams.

Enhance communication among stakeholders, including engineering, construction, and licensing entities.

Team Management:

Ensure project success by overseeing and managing the daily performance of the electrical team, maintaining high standards in coordination, technical execution, and effective utilization of each member's expertise.

Promote continuous improvement in technical skills and performance by facilitating and supporting training and development initiatives in line with project goals and industry standards.

Qualifications

Educational Qualification:

B.E/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from a reputed institute/university.

Work Experience (Range of years):

15-20 years of total work experience.

At least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role in a large or mid-sized organization.
