Senior Solar Technician (Installation & Commissioning)

Location: Noida (Field Job – Delhi NCR & Outstation Travel as Required)

Experience: 3–5 Years in Solar EPC (Rooftop Solar Projects)

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Solar Technician who can independently execute rooftop solar installations, supervise technicians, and handle commissioning activities. The candidate should have hands-on experience in complete solar project execution from installation to plant handover.

Key Responsibilities

Solar Installation:

1. Install Solar Module Mounting Structure (MMS).
2. Install solar modules as per approved layout.
3. Carry out DC and AC cable laying with proper routing.
4. Install cable trays, conduits and supports.
5. Perform proper cable dressing and cable tagging.

Electrical Installation:

1. Install and connect Solar Inverters, ACDB, DCDB and LT Panels.
2. Perform DC stringing and MC4 connector crimping.
3. Carry out earthing and lightning protection work.
4. Install Zero Export Device (if applicable).

Testing & Commissioning:

1. Conduct polarity and continuity checks.
2. Perform insulation resistance (IR) testing.
3. Check string Voc and current.
4.



Assist in inverter commissioning and synchronization.
5. Support net metering and plant charging activities.

Site Supervision:

1. Lead and guide junior technicians and helpers.
2. Ensure quality workmanship at site.
3. Follow installation drawings and electrical schematics.
4. Coordinate with Project Engineer regarding daily progress.
5. Maintain daily work reports and material usage records.

Safety & Quality:

1. Ensure use of PPE and safe working practices.
2. Follow electrical safety procedures.
3. Maintain high-quality installation standards.
4. Identify and report site issues proactively.

Requirements

1. ITI Electrician / Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Preferred)
2. 3–5 years of experience in Solar EPC projects.
3. Hands-on experience in rooftop solar installation and commissioning.
4. Ability to read electrical drawings and single-line diagrams.
5. Knowledge of AC & DC wiring practices.
6. Experience with inverter commissioning will be preferred.
7. Basic understanding of electrical testing instruments such as multimeter, clamp meter and insulation tester.
8. Willingness to travel for project execution.
