n You are a proactive, indispensable partner to Searce's leadership, expected to maintain a strong sense of professional integrity while managing end-to-end processes related to US and Canadian taxation and internal controls. This isn't just about tracking numbers; it's about being a creative visionary who can step back, see the big picture, and identify tax planning opportunities and internal control improvements.
n As a Senior Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with complex tax regulations and delivering insightful findings to management. You will serve as a critical advisor by challenging the status quo and providing the financial clarity needed to navigate the competitive tech consulting landscape with speed and precision.
n Major Roles & Responsibilities
n 1. Tax Compliance:
n n Prepare and file US and Canadian federal, state, and provincial tax returns
n Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns, including extensions and amendments.
n Research and apply relevant tax laws and regulations to complex tax issues.
n Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and assess the impact on the organization.
n n 2. Tax Provision:
n n Calculate and analyze US and Canadian income tax provisions, including current and deferred tax liabilities.
n Prepare detailed work papers to support tax provision calculations.
n Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements.
n n 3. Tax Planning:
n n Identify and implement tax-efficient strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
n Analyze the tax implications of business transactions, such as mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
n Advise on tax-effective structuring of transactions.
n n 4. Tax Audits:
n n Respond to audits and inquiries from tax authorities.
n Prepare and provide documentation to support tax positions.
n Represent the organization in tax audits and appeals.
n n 5. Accounting:
n n Accounting tasks, such as journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
n Provide support to the finance team on tax-related matters.
n n Education & Experience

n n Degree: Qualified Chartered Accountant
n Experience: 2-5 years of proven work experience in a similar role.
n Specialized Knowledge: Proficiency in US and Canadian tax laws, tax automation tools, and forms such as 1120, 1065, 1040, GILTI, and Sales and Use tax returns.
