Invictron Systems develops autonomous defense technologies that operate reliably in GNSS-denied, GPS-contested, and electronically hostile environments. The company builds end-to-end autonomous warfare solutions, including intelligent ground control systems, UAV software, and real-time object detection, tracking, and aiming to enhance situational awareness and decision-making.
Founded and led by IIT alumni and mentors, Invictron focuses on creating sovereign battlefield autonomy for India, reducing reliance on imported drone and UAV systems. While its primary focus is defense and aerospace, Invictron also aims to adapt these technologies for commercial applications, driving broader real-world impact.

The Role

We're looking for an experienced FPV and Fixed-Wing Drone Pilot to join our flight operations team and help test, validate, and deploy next-generation autonomous UAV systems.
This isn't a commercial drone operator role. You'll fly experimental aircraft, support autonomous flight testing, validate current capabilities, and work alongside AI, robotics, and embedded engineers to bridge the gap between software and real-world performance.
Every sortie generates critical data that helps improve our navigation, perception, and mission systems for demanding operational environments.
Day to day, you'll:
Operate FPV and fixed-wing UAVs during flight testing and validation missions
Execute manual, assisted, and autonomous flight operations
Plan missions and conduct thorough pre-flight and post-flight inspections




Capture flight logs, telemetry, video, and test observations for engineering analysis
Assist with tuning, calibration, payload integration, and system validation
Troubleshoot flight, communication, and hardware issues during field trials
Work closely with AI, robotics, and embedded teams to validate autonomous features
Support demonstrations, customer trials, and field deployments as required
Maintain strict flight safety standards and operational documentation
You'll play a key role in turning prototypes into reliable field-ready autonomous systems.

Requirements

You'll thrive here if you:
Have hands-on experience flying FPV and fixed-wing UAVs
Are proficient with mission planning software such as QGroundControl or Mission Planner
Understand flight controllers, telemetry systems, radio links, batteries, propulsion systems, and payload integration
Have experience with PX4 or ArduPilot -based platforms
Can confidently troubleshoot issues in the field under time constraints
Are comfortable working outdoors and traveling for flight trials
Have strong documentation and communication skills
Hold a Bachelor's degree, Diploma, or equivalent practical experience in Engineering, Aviation, Robotics, Electronics, or a related field

Bonus: Experience with VTOL platforms, BVLOS operations, DGCA Remote Pilot Certificate, NVIDIA Jetson-based UAVs, MAVLink, RTK GPS, long-range telemetry systems, or defense UAV programs.
