AI Automation Engineer – L2

Position Summary

The AI Automation Engineer – Level 2 is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing end-to-end automation workflows that enhance MSP operations. This role requires advanced scripting, integration skills, and the ability to mentor junior engineers while leading automation deployment projects.

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree.
3+ years of experience in IT Support, Dev Ops, or Automation Engineering (MSP experience preferred).

Advanced Programming: Deep proficiency in Python, Node.js, and/or Power Shell.
AI & Data Infrastructure: Proven experience building agentic RAG systems, managing LLM orchestration, and deploying vector databases.
System Architecture: Experience designing microservices and working with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).

Project Management: Familiar with Git Version Control, Gantt Analysis and SCRUM

Automation Ecosystems: Complex orchestration platforms (Windmill, n8n, Rewst, custom runtimes)



and deep API integration experience with leading PSA/RMM systems (HaloPSA, Connect Wise, Datto, Kaseya, N-able).

Responsibilities
Design and build advanced automation workflows integrating PSA, RMM, and AI platforms.
Create and maintain scripts using Python and Power Shell to streamline recurring MSP process.
Develop integrations using REST APIs (Connect Wise, Datto, N-able, etc.).
Architect AI-enabled workflows leveraging LLMs, RAG, and data enrichment.
Mentor and support L1 engineers in workflow design and execution.
Ensure compliance, data governance, and documentation across all automation projects.
