The Calibration Technician is responsible for performing in-house and onsite calibration of measuring instruments while ensuring compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 requirements. The role involves executing calibration procedures, preparing calibration certificates, maintaining technical records, troubleshooting instruments, and providing technical support to customers.
Key Responsibilities
Perform calibration of electrical, mechanical, dimensional, pressure, temperature, mass, force, torque, and other measuring instruments.
Execute both laboratory and onsite calibration assignments.
Interpret and follow approved calibration procedures and work instructions.
Ensure measurement traceability to national and international standards.
Generate accurate calibration certificates and technical reports.
Review calibration data and verify measurement uncertainty calculations where applicable.
Maintain laboratory equipment and reference standards in positive working condition.
Ensure calibration equipment is properly maintained and periodically verified.
Identify out-of-tolerance instruments and recommend corrective actions.
Diagnose and troubleshoot faulty measuring instruments.
Perform minor repairs and adjustments whenever required.
Follow ISO/IEC 17025 quality system requirements and laboratory procedures.
Participate in internal audits, proficiency testing, and quality improvement initiatives.
Maintain complete documentation and calibration records.
Coordinate with customers during onsite calibration activities.
Ensure compliance with company safety policies while working in the laboratory and at customer sites.
Support technical training and continuous improvement activities.
