Role & responsibilities
Prepare and process export shipping documents including House Bill of Lading (HBL), Master Bill of Lading (MBL), Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Shipping Bill, Certificate of Origin, and other statutory documents.
Verify shipping instructions and documentation for accuracy and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with shipping lines, airlines, transporters, customs brokers, overseas agents, and customers to facilitate smooth export operations.
Prepare and submit Bill of Lading drafts for customer approval and arrange final BL release.
Track shipment milestones and provide regular status updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
Ensure timely documentation submission to shipping lines, carriers, and customs authorities.
Maintain accurate shipment records and documentation in the freight forwarding system.
Resolve documentation discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions with relevant parties.
Support the operations team to ensure shipments are dispatched within planned timelines.
Ensure compliance with company SOPs, international trade regulations,



and customer-specific requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience in Export Documentation within a Freight Forwarding, NVOCC, Shipping Line, or Logistics company.
Sound knowledge of export documentation procedures and international shipping practices.
Experience handling Bill of Lading drafting and release, shipping instructions, invoices, and export documentation.
Familiarity with freight forwarding software such as ODEX, NEXERA, Ezeeshipping, CargoWise, or similar platforms is preferred.
Valuable understanding of Incoterms, customs documentation, and shipping regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
Robust communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple shipments while meeting strict deadlines.

Preferred candidate profile
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Certification in Shipping, Logistics, or Freight Forwarding is an added advantage.
