Role & responsibilities
Ensure on-time delivery (OTD) of bought-out commodities.
Drive cost reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing, negotiation, and value engineering.
Coordinate daily with PPC and Production teams to prioritize material supplies based on production requirements.
Identify, evaluate, and rationalize the supplier base to improve cost, quality, and delivery performance.
Work closely with Incoming Quality and Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) teams to resolve supplier quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Ensure adequate availability of make-to-stock items as per inventory norms to support uninterrupted production.
Monitor and expedite the closure of incoming material rejections and rework with suppliers.
Prepare supplier schedules, release purchase orders, and follow up to ensure timely material availability.
Support supplier development and continuous improvement.
Monitor supplier performance on delivery, quality, responsiveness, and cost, and initiate improvement actions where required.
Maintain procurement records, purchase documentation, and ensure compliance with company procurement policies
