GNM / B.Sc Nursing / M.Sc Nursing from a recognised institution.

Clinical & Quality:
Ensure delivery of protected, effective, and evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients
Monitor patient care activities and ensure adherence to ICU protocols and standards
Assist in the management of medical emergencies and code blue situations
Coordinate with consultants, intensivists, and other healthcare specialists regarding patient care plans
Ensure proper infection prevention and control practices within the ICU
Ensure compliance with NABH standards, hospital policies, and nursing protocols
Monitor quality indicators such as infection rates, medication errors, patient falls, and patient satisfaction
Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and accreditation activities
Ensure accurate and timely nursing documentation

Experience

10+ years of nursing experience with proven ICU leadership. General shift.

Team & Operations:
Prepare and manage nursing duty rosters and shift allocations
Supervise ICU nursing staff and provide guidance and support
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members




Identify training needs and coordinate ongoing clinical education programs
Ensure adequate staffing levels for all shifts
Monitor availability and functionality of ICU equipment, including ventilators, monitors, infusion pumps, and defibrillators
Ensure adequate stock of medicines, consumables, and emergency supplies
Coordinate preventive maintenance and calibration of equipment
Address patient and family concerns professionally and empathetically
Facilitate effective communication between patients families and healthcare teams
Maintain ICU records, reports, and departmental documentation
Prepare daily census and operational reports
Participate in departmental meetings and management reviews
Assist in policy implementation and process improvement initiatives
