Role & responsibilities
Experience in costing, estimation, production engineering, or quotation preparation in a sheet metal, fabrication, or general manufacturing setting.
Strong ability to read PDF drawings, fabrication drawings, and customer specifications.
Valuable knowledge of BOM preparation, manufacturing processes, nesting concepts, raw material utilization, and scrap calculation.
Working knowledge of fabrication processes such as laser cutting, bending, welding, grinding, coating, and packing.
Robust commercial awareness with the ability to prepare competitive and technically correct quotations.
Proficiency in Excel and costing formats; familiarity with ERP systems and CAD/DXF workflow is preferred.
Good coordination and communication skills to work with procurement, design, production, and sales teams.
