Job Title - SAP ABAP Lead

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Lead with 812+ years of experience to lead ABAP development across SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments. The ideal candidate should possess robust technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and hands-on experience in designing, developing, and delivering enterprise-grade SAP solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and govern ABAP development across SAP ECC and S/4HANA landscapes.
Design, develop, and review RICEFW objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows).
Develop high-quality, performance-optimized, and S/4HANA-compliant ABAP solutions.
Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.
Prepare technical design documents, effort estimations, and delivery plans.
Collaborate with functional consultants to understand and clarify business requirements.
Develop and support integration using IDoc, RFC, BAPI, OData, SAP CPI, and SAP BTP.
Support UAT, defect resolution, deployment, cutover, and hypercare activities.
Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership to offshore/onshore teams.




Ensure compliance with SAP Clean Core principles, extensibility standards, and security guidelines.
Required Skills & Experience
8 to 12 years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience.
Strong expertise in:
ABAP Objects (OO-ABAP)
CDS Views
AMDP
Open SQL
User Exits, BADIs, and Enhancement Framework
SmartForms and Adobe Forms
Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementation, migration, or conversion projects.
Working knowledge of SAP BTP, SAP CPI, and OData Services.
Strong debugging and performance tuning skills.
Experience with SAP Transport Management and DevOps practices.
Proven experience leading technical teams and managing project delivery.
Positive to Have
Exposure to SAP Clean Core and side-by-side extensibility.
Experience with SAP Fiori backend enablement.
Knowledge of SAP Cloud ALM or SAP Solution Manager.
Experience in AMS support or large-scale SAP transformation programs.
