Role & responsibilities
Manage end-to-end local and outstation dispatch operations.
Plan daily dispatch schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
Coordinate with transporters, warehouses, sales, and production teams.
Resolve dispatch-related issues, delays, damages, shortages, and customer complaints.
Identify and onboard reliable transport partners across India.
Negotiate freight rates and implement logistics cost-saving initiatives.
Continuously improve dispatch processes, vehicle utilization, and delivery efficiency.
Verify, reconcile, and approve transporter invoices and freight bills.
Monitor transporter performance through KPIs such as on-time delivery, freight cost, and claim rates.
Ensure complete documentation, including LR, e-way bills, invoices, PODs, and other statutory documents.
Develop logistics SOPs and ensure compliance by the dispatch team.
Lead, train, and supervise the dispatch and logistics team.
Generate periodic MIS reports on freight costs, transporter performance, delivery timelines, and cost optimization opportunities.





Preferred candidate profile
6+ years of experience in logistics, dispatch, supply chain, or transportation.
Experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, consumer goods, or manufacturing industries preferred.
Solid knowledge of road transportation across India.
Proven experience in freight negotiation and logistics cost optimization.
Excellent problem-solving and vendor management skills.
Hands-on experience with transporter billing and freight reconciliation.
Valuable knowledge of e-way bills, GST logistics documentation, and dispatch processes.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
