Roles and Responsibilities
Assign accurate medical codes using ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS Level II codes based on patient diagnoses and procedures.
Review medical records, radiology reports, and pathology results to ensure complete and accurate coding.
Identify and report all relevant diagnoses and procedures according to established guidelines.
Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve any discrepancies or questions related to coding.
