Role & responsibilities
Develop accurate 3D models and detailed manufacturing drawings for furniture products.
Create production-ready designs using SolidWorks (or other 3D CAD software).
Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs) and engineering documentation.
Design furniture using solid wood, plywood, veneers, laminates, metal, glass, and hardware.
Create detailed joinery, assembly, and exploded-view drawings.
Collaborate with production, procurement, and quality teams to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable.
Modify existing designs based on customer requirements, production feedback, or product improvements.
Support prototype development and product testing.
Maintain design revisions and engineering documentation.

Preferred candidate profile




Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Furniture Design, or a related field.
25 years of experience in furniture or product design.
Robust proficiency in SolidWorks (experience with AutoCAD is an added advantage).
Positive understanding of furniture construction, woodworking, joinery, and manufacturing processes.
Knowledge of furniture materials, hardware, and fittings.
Ability to create detailed production drawings with high accuracy.
Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
