Officer – Shift in-charge maintenance
Key Metric of the role
The Maintenance Shift In-Charge is responsible for ensuring the effective and protected operation of all machinery and equipment during their shift. This includes managing machine breakdowns, performing root cause analysis (RCA) to prevent recurring issues, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and leading a team of maintenance technicians.
Key Deliverables
Machine Breakdown Management: Lead troubleshooting and repair of machines, ensuring minimal downtime.
Technical Skills:
In-depth knowledge of machinery, electrical and mechanical systems.
Experience with troubleshooting techniques and maintenance management systems CMMS).
Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Analyze recurring issues,
implement corrective actions to prevent breakdowns.
Safety Adherence: Ensure compliance with safety standards and conduct safety audits.
Team Leadership: Supervise and guide maintenance staff, ensuring productive task delegation and training.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and reports on breakdowns, repairs, and safety.
Continuous Improvement: Suggest process improvements to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.
