Job Description: The Executive/Fresher will supervise and optimize daily utility services and slag management operations. This role ensures continuous plant operations by maintaining water, air, and gas utilities while handling byproduct (slag) processing safely and efficiently. [1] Key Responsibilities Utility Operations

- Monitor water treatment plants, cooling towers, and pumping stations.
- Ensure uninterrupted supply of industrial gases (oxygen, nitrogen, argon).
- Manage compressed air systems and steam generation units.
- Track utility consumption metrics daily to reduce operational waste. [1]

Slag Management & Processing

- Supervise the safe disposal and granulation of liquid slag.
- Coordinate with logistics teams for timely slag yard clearing.
- Oversee crushing, screening, and processing of weathered slag.
- Drive byproduct utilization by supplying slag to cement industries. [1]

Maintenance & Safety

- Execute preventive and breakdown maintenance schedules for utility equipment.
- Enforce strict adherence to steel plant safety protocols (PPE, work permits).
- Maintain daily shift logs, operational checklists, and MIS reports.




- Identify hazards and implement corrective actions in the slag yard. [1, 2, 3]

Candidate Profile Qualifications

- Education: B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Metallurgical Engineering.
- Experience: 0 to 3 years in a heavy manufacturing or steel plant environment. [1]

Technical Skills

- Knowledge of pumps, compressors, valves, and piping systems.
- Understanding of water chemistry and industrial waste management.
- Familiarity with engineering drawings (P&IDs;) and basic AutoCAD.
- Basic computer skills (MS Excel, Word) for reporting. [1]

Soft Skills

- Ability to work in a high-temperature, rapid-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
- Excellent team communication and shift leadership potential.
- Willingness to work in a rotational shift system (24/7 operations).
