Position Overview:

The Sr. Systems Engineer is responsible for the design, support and management of the DATAMARK IT Infrastructure. These responsibilities include all technical aspects of design, configuration, and documentation of the network and systems infrastructure. Must be well-versed in Server Virtualization, Networking, Security, Core Services, Application Performance, Data Storage, etc.

Primary Responsibilities:

Provides technical leadership through analysis, design, installation, and support of DATAMARK Virtual Environment. Configures, installs, maintains, ss, analyzes, evaluates, and upgrades Virtual Nodes and services
Develops and Maintains documentation and standards to direct the system activities
Works closely with other IT staff to support all aspects of the Virtual workplace. Cross train IT staff to reduce IT response time for system trouble and system requests
Analyzes and provides information to Management for assessing VM utilization and provides guidance for selecting appropriate Virtual Equipment for current projects




Thorough knowledge and experience administering servers in domain environment including installing, troubleshooting and configuring DNS, DHCP, IIS, Group Policy, User/Group administration, auditing event logs
Responsible for but not limited to keeping computer equipment, hardware, and software updated to meet organizational needs as well as installation of recent software releases, system upgrades, patches and resolution of software related problems
Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team, must be willing to develop the technical skills of other team members whenever possible
Management and Administration of Windows Servers, virtualization, active directory, routers, switches, firewalls, SAN/NAS, IP phones, smartphones, software deployments, security updates and patches
Ensures the integrity of file servers, VPN gateways, and intrusion detection systems are reliable and secure
Backup and Recovery of servers and configu
