Join us as a Functional Analyst – Finance and make an impact in shaping financial solutions for the Upstream Oil & Gas industry. In this role, you’ll act as a key Application Support Analyst, leveraging your expertise in Shell’s S/4HANA Finance Asset Accounting and development capabilities. You’ll collaborate with business teams to deliver cutting-edge, reliable solutions that drive efficiency and performance.
What you’ll be doing
Deliver end-to-end SAP S/4HANA Finance Asset Accounting solutions, translating complex business and process requirements into robust technical designs.
Apply deep knowledge of asset reporting standards, including IFRS, US GAAP, and local tax reporting requirements.
Leverage Asset Accounting expertise specific to the Oil & Gas industry to design and optimize solutions.




Utilize working knowledge of S/4HANA General Ledger (GL) for integrated financial processes.
Configure S/4HANA systems in line with best practices and build standards, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
Manage cross-functional integration with other SAP modules and oversee master data activities.
Collaborate with Process Architects and Design Authorities to develop IT solutions aligned with business needs.
Partner with Lead Business Analysts and Process Experts to create detailed technical specifications for complex solutions.
Conduct root cause analysis for incidents and implement preventive measures to minimize recurrence.
Drive defect resolution during testing, hypercare, and critical incident management; support production issue resolution with Run & Maintain teams.
Ensure IT solutions are robust, scalable, and well-documented, meeting governance requirements prior to CAB reviews.
