Qualification & Experience
B.Sc/M.Sc in Life Sciences/Microbiology/MLT or any allied discipline.




He/She should have the knowledge of the tools used in molecular biology/biotechnology work and should be having experience in handling the instruments like autoclave, electrophoresis, pH meter, working in Laminar air flow, incubators etc.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Handling of all lab equipment of biotechnology lab
Media preparation and autoclaving
Assistance to the faculty members during their practicals
Guideline to UG and PG students for their lab experiments
Maintaining stock register for lab instruments and chemicals
Cleaning of the lab instruments and apparatus
Maintenance of the lab instruments (Calibration of the instruments like pH meter, LAF cleaning, temperature monitoring of the deep freezer and incubator etc.)
Procurement of the lab related material from the medical and general store of SGT University
Getting the instrument repaired by Biomedical department
Fumigation of the laboratory
Discarding the microbiological waste through autoclaving
Maintenance of the laboratory re
