We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Engineer with 2 to 5 years of experience to join our production team. In this role, you will implement and oversee quality control processes across our core operations, ensuring every item meets our high standards for precision and durability.
About the Role
Role Level: Entry-to-Mid Level Quality Engineer
Experience: 2–5 years in a manufacturing setting
Industry Focus: Modular Office Manufacturing
Required: Proven experience in manufacturing is essential.
Preferred: A background in furniture, modular kitchens, or interior fit-outs is a significant plus.
Key Responsibilities
Inspection & Control
Perform incoming raw material inspections against dimensional and material specifications.
Conduct in-process and final product quality audits on the shop floor.
Ensure finished goods match AutoCAD drawings and client bills of materials (BOMs).
Process Improvement
Identify, document, and track production defects and deviations.
Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and drive Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) to eliminate recurring defects on production lines.
Documentation & Standards
Maintain accurate inspection records,
quality checklists, and compliance metrics.
Assist in implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the manufacturing floor.
Coordinate with the dispatch team to clear only certified products for packaging.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering.
Core Experience: Strong understanding of fundamental manufacturing workflows, tolerances, and assembly.
Blueprints: Ability to read and interpret complex 2D and 3D engineering or shop drawings.
Tools: Proficiency with precision tools such as micrometers, vernier calipers, and gauges.
Software: Competence in MS Excel for creating data reports and quality metrics.
Preferred Advantages
Familiarity with hardware fittings, panel joinery, edge-banding, or sheet metal.
Knowledge of raw materials like MDF, plywood, particle boards, and laminates.
Familiarity with industry standards such as ANSI/BIFMA or ISO 9001.
