Position: Respiratory Therapist
Location: Prabhu Multi-Speciality Hospital & Polyclinic, Pollachi

Job Summary

The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing respiratory care services to patients with breathing disorders, managing ventilators, assisting in critical care procedures, and ensuring high-quality patient care in ICU, ER, and other clinical areas.

Key Responsibilities
Assess patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders.
Operate, monitor, and maintain ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and oxygen delivery systems.
Administer oxygen therapy, nebulization, and aerosol treatments as prescribed.
Assist physicians during intubation, extubation, bronchoscopy, and emergency procedures.
Monitor patient respiratory status and document clinical observations.
Collect and assist in interpretation of Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) samples.
Manage ventilator settings as per physician instructions.
Provide respiratory care in ICU, Emergency Department, OT, and wards.
Educate patients and caregivers regarding respiratory therapy and equipment use.
Ensure infection control practices while handling respiratory equipment.
Maintain records, reports,



and equipment maintenance logs.
Participate in Code Blue and emergency response teams.

Qualification
B.Sc. Respiratory Therapy / Bachelor of Respiratory Care Technology (BRCT)
Diploma in Respiratory Therapy (preferred for junior positions)

Experience
Fresher to 7+ years of experience
Experience in ICU, NICU, PICU, Emergency, or Critical Care preferred
