This role for Proposal Engineer Filtration systems will be responsible for complex techno-commercial offers support to global sales/customers. Responsible for quality and On Time Delivery (OTD) of the techno commercial offers prepared. Resolve TQ & CQ until order is resulted.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyzing inquiries, make correct product selection inline with customer needs & global standard.
Studying Customer RFQ and project specifications, prepare comments - deviation sheet, product datasheet and costing sheet for filter and/or entire filtration systems. etc
Manage KPI in terms of On time delivery (OTD) and Quality of the outputs.
Ensure compliance with proposal process and outputs from proposal team.
Co-ordinate with various global cross functional teams (CZ Plant/CoE/JVEL) for getting results.
Participate in technical as well as commercial discussions with sales offices or customers.
Keep focus on opportunities of improvements through SES tool to improve KPIs
Follow regular inquiry review meetings, Daily accountability (DAM) meetings.
Ensure productive support to sales offices and Business Development force.
Working on nonstandard / Standard – First Fit & spares inquiries with complex requirements.
Key Accountabilities:
Ensure meet the business expectations in terms of On time delivery (OTD) Cost and quality outputs.
Support Sales / BDMs / Junior engineers about engineering process & products.
Make sure error free quotation preparation, Clean & Clear order handover to execution team.
Responsible timely support for SAP quotes, correct price estimation for technical requirements.
Adhere to company policies and procedures (Smiths values and Leadership behaviours).
To use Engineering tools and perform correct nonstandard standard product selection calculation.
Conduct Root Cause Analysis and prepare Corrective Actions using SES problem solving tools.
Build and maintain valuable rapport with sales and internal customers to meet their business requirements.
Should actively contribute to Continuous Improvements in their day-to-day work.
To maintain designated records in-line with process requirement
Support Global Engineering strategic initiatives as required
Promote a positive work workplace and culture in accordance with the ‘Smiths Way’.
