Maintain inventories of endoscopic equipment and supplies
Perform safety checks to verify proper equipment working
Prepare rooms / suites according to endoscopic procedure requirements
Clean, disinfect or calibrate scopes or other endoscopic instruments according to manufacture recommendations and facility standards
Attend in-service training to validate or refresh basic qualified skills.
Maintain or repair endoscopic equipment
Patient identification before the procedure and explaining the various protocols/ procedural details to the patient.
Explain procedures, answer patient’s questions as fully as possible and provide emotional support.
To assist in the preparation and positioning of the patient.
To ensure patient does not move during procedure by providing adequate instruction
To ensure the cleanliness of the endoscopy and the rom used for the same
To counsel the patient and help in taking clinical history.
