Position: Anesthetist
Department: Operation Theatre (OT)
Qualification: MD/DNB/DA in Anaesthesiology with valid Medical Council registration
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital (Freshers may apply if permitted by hospital policy)
Roles & Responsibilities:
Assess patients pre-operatively and determine the appropriate anaesthesia plan.
Administer general, regional, and local anaesthesia for surgical and diagnostic procedures.
Monitor patients' vital signs throughout the procedure and manage any complications.
Ensure secure recovery from anaesthesia and provide post-operative pain management.
Respond promptly to emergency and critical care situations requiring airway and resuscitation management.
Maintain accurate anaesthesia records and complete all medical documentation.
Coordinate with surgeons, OT staff,
and nursing teams to ensure patient safety.
Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, infection control practices, and patient safety standards.
Supervise the proper use and maintenance of anaesthesia equipment and medications.
Participate in clinical audits, emergency drills, and continuous medical education programs as required by the hospital.
