Job Overview
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Occupational Therapist to provide one-to-one support to a Class 1 student with mild Autism Spectrum Disorder and speech delay along with mild sensory issues.
The candidate will work closely with the child during working hours to facilitate academic participation, social integration, communication, and behavioral regulation.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct individualized occupational therapy sessions based on the child's functional needs
Improve fine motor skills, hand strength, and handwriting abilities
Enhance sensory processing and self-regulation through evidence-based activities
Develop visual-motor integration and eye-hand coordination
Improve attention, sitting tolerance, and classroom readiness skills
Train the child in activities of daily living (dressing, feeding, grooming, etc.) as appropriate
Recommend and implement sensory strategies for home and school settings
Collaborate with parents, teachers,
and other professionals to ensure consistent intervention
Maintain detailed session records and monitor progress toward therapy goals
Provide regular home programs and weekly progress updates to parents
Suggest adaptive equipment or environmental modifications when required
Periodically review and update therapy goals based on the child's progress and emerging needs
Eligibility Criteria
B.Ed or Similar in Occupational Therapy(Mandatory)
Minimum 2–3 years of experience
Prior experience working with:
Children with Autism
Early primary age group (Class 1 level)
Speech delay cases
Required Skills
Solid understanding of Autism and Sensory integration practices
Ability to create and implement basic IEP strategies
Effective behavior management skills
Valuable communication and documentation abilities
Patience, emotional regulation, and structured approach
