Manage mechanical maintenance and plant operations during shift hours at the RIL Dahej petrochemical complex. You will lead a shift team to ensure maximum equipment uptime, operational safety, and continuous process reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee shift-wise mechanical operations, preventive maintenance, and emergency troubleshooting of plant machinery (pumps, compressors, piping, and static/rotating equipment).
Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols (HSE guidelines) and statutory compliance during shift activities.
Lead and deploy technicians and contractors to handle breakdown repairs efficiently.
Coordinate cross-functionally with process operations, instrumentation,
and electrical teams for seamless shift handovers and minimal downtime.
Monitor mechanical KPIs, log shift reports, and lead initial root-cause analyses (RCA) for mechanical failures.
Key Qualifications
Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
Experience: Minimum 5 - 10 years of experience in plant supervision & maintenance/operations, ideally within continuous process industries (Petrochemicals, Oil & Gas, Refining, or Chemicals).
Skills: Solid expertise in rotating and static equipment maintenance, permit-to-work systems, team leadership, and rapid shift-level decision making.
