Job Purpose

We are seeking a Senior DB Engineer with deep expertise in PostgreSQL performance tuning and solid experience across MSSQL and MySQL, combined with a foundational understanding of AWS and DevOps practices. This role will lead database strategy, performance optimization, and reliability engineering for large-scale, mission-critical platforms.

Key Responsibilities
Lead PostgreSQL performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting
Manage and optimize MSSQL and MySQL environments
Design and maintain HA/DR, backup, and replication strategies
Ensure database reliability, monitoring, and incident resolution
Work with AWS services (RDS, Aurora, EC2, S3) and support cloud-native architectures
Drive automation and support DevOps practices (CI/CD, scripting.)

Skills & Experience
DBA experience with enterprise-scale systems
Expert-level PostgreSQL performance tuning experience (mandatory)
Solid working knowledge of:
MSSQL Server
MySQL
Hands-on experience with:
AWS (RDS, Aurora, EC2, S3 backups)
Monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or equivalent)
Strong SQL expertise with deep understanding of query execution plans
Experience in automation/scripting (Python, Shell)
Exposure to DevOps practices (CI/CD, IaC using Terraform/CloudFormation preferred)
