The Quantity Surveyor (QS) Engineer is responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. This includes cost estimation, budget management, contract administration, and ensuring that project costs are accurately forecasted and controlled. The QS Engineer will work closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients to ensure the financial success of construction projects.

Cost Estimation and Budget Management:
Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects, including materials, labour, and other expenses.
Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring costs are kept within agreed limits.
Monitor and report on project expenditure, identifying any variances and recommending corrective actions.
Contract Administration:
Review and prepare contract documents, including bills of quantities (BOQ), contracts, and subcontracts.
Negotiate and finalize contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
Ensure all contractual obligations are met and manage any disputes that arise.
Cost Control and Financial Reporting:
Implement cost control measures to ensure project costs remain within budget.
Conduct regular financial reviews and audits to track project costs.
Client Management:
Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and provide regular updates on project progress.
Address any client concerns and ensure client satisfaction.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with project teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
Provide guidance and support to junior QS staff.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and career development.
