Basic Functions :

To manage and control all export and import operations efficiently by planning, executing, and monitoring documentation, logistics, and compliance activities. The role ensures timely shipment of goods, proper customs clearance, and adherence to legal and company policies. This is vital to maintain uninterrupted international trade flow, optimize costs, and support business growth through smooth cross-border operations.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Supervise and coordinate all export-import documentation, including invoices, packing lists, shipping bills, and bills of entry.
Ensure compliance with customs, DGFT, and international trade regulations.
Liaise with freight forwarders, CHA, and transporters for timely dispatch and clearance of consignments.
Monitor shipment schedules and ensure delivery timelines are met.




Maintain accurate records of all shipments and report variances to the Assistant Manager.
Coordinate with internal departments such as Production, Stores, Accounts, and Quality for export-import activities.
Handle correspondence with overseas suppliers and customers regarding shipment status, discrepancies, or claims.
Continuously evaluate logistics partners for cost efficiency and performance improvement.
Authorities :
Authorized to finalize shipment schedules and choose freight forwarders or CHA within approved vendor lists.
Can approve documentation and release shipments within defined company policies.
Can recommend cost optimization measures and minor procedural changes to improve export-import efficiency.

Co-ordinations :
Internal : Sales, Finance, Warehouse, and Procurement Departments.
External : Freight Forwarders, Shipping Lines, Banks,
