Work on Android Display architecture for Qualcomm chipset-based devices. • Debug, analyze, and resolve display-related issues across the Android userspace stack. Work with Android display components such as: o SurfaceFlinger o Hardware Composer / HWC o Gralloc o Display HAL o Vendor display services • Analyze display pipelines including composition, buffer management, synchronization, and frame rendering. • Collaborate with kernel, graphics, multimedia, and system teams to debug end-to-end display issues. • Support display features such as: o Multiple displays o External display / HDMI / DP o Miracast or wireless display o Refresh rate handling o Display power management o Color management o HDR / Wide Color Gamut, if applicable Perform debugging using Android tools such as: o adb o logcat o dumpsys SurfaceFlinger o systrace / perfetto o bugreport • Work closely with Qualcomm BSP/vendor display stack and support integration activities. • Participate in issue triage, root cause analysis, and provide technical fixes or recommendations. Mandatory Skills • Strong experience in Android userspace display stack.
• Positive understanding of Android graphics and display architecture.
Experience working with: o SurfaceFlinger o HWC / HWComposer o Gralloc o Display HAL o Native Android services Strong C/C++ programming and debugging skills. Valuable understanding of buffer flow, composition flow, vsync, fences, and synchronization. Experience debugging display issues such as: o Black screen o Flickering o Tearing o Frame drops o Composition failures o Resolution / refresh rate issues o External display issues • Familiarity with Android build system and AOSP/vendor code integration. • Solid problem-solving and communication skills. Experience with display kernel components such as: o DSI o MIPI o Display controller o Panel drivers o DRM bridges/connectors Required Experience • 4+ years of experience in Android platform development. • Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in Android display/userspace graphics stack. • Prior experience working on Qualcomm chipset-based Android devices is highly preferred.
